Intermediate Street Photography

$175.00

Four weeks. One live hour a week. Eight people.

For photographers who can already make a good single frame and are stuck there. This is where you stop collecting singles and finish something.

In one month you choose a project, shoot it, go back and shoot what is missing, then edit and sequence it live with the group.

Week one, the subject. What makes a project shootable in three weeks and what dooms one. Writing the one sentence brief that keeps you honest. Week two, coverage. Shooting a subject like a story: the frames that establish, the frames that describe, the people, and the moment you have to wait for. Week three, the return. Going back on purpose, shooting the gaps your first take exposed. Week four, the edit and the sequence. Cutting the month to ten or twelve frames, then ordering them so they build.

You leave with: a finished body of work, ten to twelve frames, edited and sequenced, and proof you can do it again without me.

Prerequisite: the beginner course, or you already shoot regularly.
