In the Mouth of the Wolf.
"In the Mouth of the Wolf" transcends traditional street photography, offering a unique perspective of Rome. Each picture is a testament to the ethos of finding luck and beauty in the mundane and the courage to see the familiar in a transformative light.
In the Mouth of the Wolf.
In the Mouth of the Wolf is an eight-year analog street photography project (2015–2022) documenting life in Rome through 35mm film, flash, and a Leica M6. The work moves through the city’s everyday moments—its people, streets, and contradictions—capturing Rome as it’s lived, not staged.
Named after the Italian phrase in bocca al lupo, the project embraces uncertainty and instinct, stepping directly into the city’s rhythm. These photographs reflect a Rome shaped by history yet constantly shifting, where the ordinary carries weight and chance encounters reveal something lasting.
