Street Photography Workshop, Rio de Janeiro, March 27–29, 2026

Three days. Rio’s streets. Everything is happening all at once.

Color, chaos, people, light, it’s fast, unpredictable, and something is going on around every corner of the city. Exactly where street photography comes alive. Over the weekend, we’ll walk, shoot, look, have fun, and talk through what makes a moment work, all while figuring out how to make the city work for your camera.

You'll make choices on the fly. Switch on your eyes, your head, and your heart. Luck isn't just about being in the right place. It's about being awake to what's in front of you.

What You’ll Learn

Spot and capture moments before they disappear: anticipation, timing, and trusting your instinct

Work with layered, busy scenes without getting lost: find order in chaos and build strong compositions.

Use color and light to make your images stand out: understand what draws the eye and holds attention.

Edit and sequence your photos to tell a story: select work that resonates and flows together.

Shoot instinctively without overthinking: get out of your own way and let the street surprise you.

Laugh, experiment, and enjoy the process: because the best work happens when you’re present, open, and having fun with the community.

How It Works

Mornings and afternoons are spent shooting in different parts of the city, moving through neighbourhoods, markets, and the streets of Rio. In the evenings, we’ll review your images together, discuss what works, what doesn’t, and why.

The workshop is practical, hands-on, and built around doing, not just listening.

By the end of the weekend, you'll have a set of images and experiences that capture the feeling of Rio. You'll have truly experienced the city through your viewfinder, and, more importantly, lifetime of memories and experiences to take home with you and you'll have a clearer way of seeing and reacting on the street wherever you go.

Investment

Early Bird: $750 USD. Limited to the first 5 registrations.
Standard: $850 USD
Late Registration: $900 USD. Applies after March 1, 2026.

Tuition includes instruction, guided shooting sessions, critiques, and workshop time. Flights, accommodation, meals, local transport, equipment, and personal expenses are not included. Participants book their own travel and lodging.

Terms & Conditions

Full payment is required at registration and is non-refundable. If you cannot attend, you may transfer your spot to another participant with prior approval, or apply your payment to another workshop of equal value within the same calendar year, subject to availability.

The workshop may be canceled due to unforeseen circumstances, including illness, low enrollment, or force majeure. Tuition will be refunded in full, but travel and accommodation costs are not covered.

The instructor reserves the right to adjust the schedule or remove participants whose behavior is unsafe or disruptive. No refunds will be issued in such cases.

Street photography involves risks. By participating, you accept responsibility for your own safety and agree that the instructor is not liable for injury, illness, loss, theft, or damage to property. Travel and medical insurance are strongly recommended.

By attending, you grant permission for photos or videos taken during the workshop, including your likeness, to be used for promotional or educational purposes.
